Prints a dated schedule from the trial ladders, with the option to hold a step longer or stop below the top.

The label schedules exist because they are what the trials used. Semaglutide in STEP 1 stepped 0.25 → 0.5 → 1.0 → 1.7 → 2.4 mg at four weeks a step (Wilding et al., NEJM 2021). Tirzepatide in SURMOUNT-1 stepped 2.5 mg at a time to 15 mg (Jastreboff et al., NEJM 2022). Those ladders are not sacred; they are the ones with data behind them.

Both trials also show that a large share of the response arrives at the lower steps while the adverse-event curves steepen with dose. Holding a step longer, or stopping at one that works, is a legitimate choice and not a failure.
