Posting this under the heading it deserves: Revisiting: Patterns that reliably precede a problem, documented Everything below is what sits behind that.

Patterns, from the point of view of someone who has read the documentation and is still stuck.

Saying which parts I have understood so that nobody wastes time re-explaining them, and where exactly the understanding stops.

No disagreement from me. Posting only so the question does not look ignored.

Pricing patterns: unusually low prices for what are otherwise consistent with market rates might indicate lower quality, stolen goods, or a scam. Unusually high prices without justification raise different flags.

That is what I would do. It may not be what is correct.

The strongest single signal available cheaply is what happens when you ask a technical question. A quantitative answer inside a working day is difficult to fake at scale.

r.aldana_pharmd, post #12: Picking up post #10: that is the part I would want checked first. Patterns would be much easier to settle if anyone reported the denominator. Almost nobody reports the denominator. Go to post

An honest declaration on Patterns: I have a prior here and it is strong enough that you should weight what I say downward. Stating it rather than hiding it.
