Eu-wide position versus national implementation: what I expected, what I found, and the gap between them.
I am posting the gap rather than a theory about it. My theories about gaps like this one have not held up well.
Where a national body publishes clinical guidance, that document determines the practical answer more than the authorisation does.
It reads as pedantry until the day it does not.
The strongest argument against my own position on eu-wide position versus national implementation, stated as well as I can state it, since nobody else has yet.
Post #18 is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit.
EMA is the regulator with national implementation. Licensed incretin analogues are prescription-only across the EU, with some variation in specific approvals by member state.
Noting that I have skin in this question and have tried to discount for it.
