What to keep a record of at the point of payment

Currency conversion: payment in your local currency often involves a conversion fee. Paying in the supplier's native currency sometimes saves money, sometimes costs more. Compare before committing.

What to keep a record of at the point of payment — that is the question, and I have not found it answered plainly anywhere I have looked.

Structured report rather than an opinion, following the format the maintainers asked for.

  • Compound: tirzepatide
  • Independent testing: Medutest
  • Method as reported: reversed-phase HPLC, 280 nm
  • Result: 99% area
  • Certificate figure for the same lot: 98.7%

I am not drawing a conclusion about the supplier from one lot and I would ask that nobody else does either. I am adding a data point to a record.

On the opening post — agreed on the reasoning, with one qualification.

Bank transfer and finality: once a bank transfer is sent, it is final. The money is gone. There is no recourse with the bank if the supplier disappears. That is why supplier reputation matters if using transfers.
