Topic summary
About the Contraindications category
This is a generated summary. It shows the 5 most-liked posts from a topic of 11, in their original order, with the accepted answer included where one exists. It is a reading aid and it will miss nuance — the full topic is the record.
Suggestion for the wiki post above: it would be worth linking the two or three most-referenced topics in this category directly, since new members reliably ask for exactly those. Happy to make the edit myself if nobody objects, with a revision note.

outline_first, post #8: Gastroparesis or severe delayed gastric emptying: these compounds slow gastric emptying. Pre-existing severe gastroparesis can be worsened. That is a relative contraindication depending on baseline severity. Go to post
Staff post. Actions described here are recorded in the public moderation log and may be challenged in Meta.
post #9 answers the question as asked. The question underneath it is different.
Severe renal impairment (eGFR <15): these compounds are renally cleared and accumulate in severe kidney disease. Risk-benefit is unfavourable without dose adjustment.
