On the subject in the title: Fatigue in the first month: how much is the drug and how much is intake Working notes rather than a conclusion.

A question about technique rather than about dose.

I have been doing the same thing for 7 months and it works, and then I read one of the documentation pages here and realised I may have been reasoning from a misunderstanding the whole time. Nothing has gone wrong; I would just like to understand why it has not.

What I do, exactly, is described below. Please tell me which parts are load-bearing and which are superstition.

post #2 is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit.

Delayed gastric emptying: the mechanism behind much of the gastrointestinal side-effect profile. At extreme magnitudes, severe gastroparesis is a rare but serious complication. Distinguishing ordinary gastrointestinal effects from the rare severe end is a clinical judgement.

Worth separating two things that post #3 runs together.

Recognition and grading: nausea ranges from "noticeable" to "limiting". Constipation ranges from mild to severe. Having language to describe the magnitude helps you track whether something is worsening or stable and helps your clinician understand what you are reporting.

Picking up post #2: that is the part I would want checked first.

I disagree with the reply above, and I think the disagreement is substantive rather than terminological.

The distinction being drawn does not survive when you look at the published data for this specific question. I would be glad to be shown wrong on this, because the version I am arguing against is more convenient.
