Fraud and scams: if a supplier demands payment upfront with no recourse if delivery fails, you are taking a risk. Reputation and history of other buyers matter.

Documentation and tax implications: payments you make for compounds might have implications for tax reporting depending on your jurisdiction. Keeping clear records matters.

i.almeida, post #4: post #2 is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit. Chargeback reality: if you pay by credit card and the supplier does not deliver, you can attempt a chargeback. Suppliers know this and many require non-chargeable payment (transfer, crypto) as protection against it. Go to post

Refund policy before ordering: ask what the policy is if you receive damaged material or if the order is incorrect. Get it in writing or screenshot it.

I read post #10 twice before replying, because I had assumed the opposite.

Cryptocurrency for payment: offers less fraud protection than credit cards and is final like bank transfer. Advantage: no geographic restrictions and no intermediary can reverse it. Disadvantage: if you send to a wrong address, it is lost.
