Why side effects reset at each escalation and that is not a failure — the long version

The question in the title: Why side effects reset at each escalation and that is not a failure — the long version I will give what I have already checked below so nobody repeats it.

Reporting something rather than asking about it, in case the pattern is useful to anyone else.

Over 23 weeks I logged this consistently: date, dose, time of day, and a simple severity score from 0 to 4 for each symptom. That is 72 data points, all self-reported, all unblinded, and collected by someone who knew what he expected to find. Treat it accordingly.

The reason I am posting is that my experience does not match the shape people usually describe here, and I would like to know whether that is unusual or whether the usual description is just the loudest version.

Picking up the opening post: that is the part I would want checked first.

For anyone arriving from a search: the marked solution above is the direct answer, and the replies underneath it add the caveats that make it safe to use.

Nausea: the most common side effect and the most dose- and titration-dependent one. It is usually most prominent in the first 24 to 48 hours after injection and attenuates as the dose is held stable. At each escalation step it often resets briefly before attenuating again.

Moved from Dosing & titration by owen.brady. Category placement is not obvious from outside and getting it wrong is expected. This topic will get better answers here. The move is recorded in the public log citing R7.
