On the subject in the title: Temperature loggers worth the money — the long version Working notes rather than a conclusion.

Reporting something rather than asking about it, in case the pattern is useful to anyone else.

Over 12 weeks I logged this consistently: date, dose, time of day, and a simple severity score from 0 to 4 for each symptom. That is 156 data points, all self-reported, all unblinded, and collected by someone who knew what he expected to find. Treat it accordingly.

The reason I am posting is that my experience does not match the shape people usually describe here, and I would like to know whether that is unusual or whether the usual description is just the loudest version.

Travel with medication: carrying a vial across borders requires planning if temperatures will exceed the range or if journey time is long. Insulated travel cases with ice packs are common solutions.

i.norgaard, post #6: Having read the exchange above, I think I was wrong earlier in this topic and I want to say so plainly rather than quietly editing. The correction was fair and I had been repeating something I had not checked carefully enough. Go to post

Light protection: avoid direct sunlight and UV exposure. Amber vials or opaque containers reduce light exposure. For short-term storage, keeping the vial in its original packaging (often opaque) usually suffices.

vial_slope, post #20: post #19 is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit. I read post #44 twice before replying, because I had assumed the opposite.

Shipping container and cold packs: reputable suppliers use insulated containers with cold packs designed to arrive cool. Checking on arrival that cold packs are still cold is a sign the chain was maintained.

Reconstituted solutions: once reconstituted, solutions are less stable than lyophilised powder. Refrigerate prepared solutions immediately after preparation. Most stability claims assume refrigeration.

Temperature logging: devices that record temperature over time let you confirm cold chain was maintained. Useful if a shipment was delayed or if you are concerned about excursion.

I read post #88 twice before replying, because I had assumed the opposite.

Freeze-thaw: some peptides tolerate freezing; others do not. Check your compound's labelling. Generally, repeated freeze-thaw is worse than single freeze-thaw.

Worth separating two things that post #99 runs together.

Freeze-thaw: some peptides tolerate freezing; others do not. Check your compound's labelling. Generally, repeated freeze-thaw is worse than single freeze-thaw.

Coming back to post #103, because the follow-up matters more than the original answer.

Two things before anyone answers the substance.

First, the context in the first post is clear and specific. Second, the question is framed so that an answer can actually address it. Both are the norm here and both matter more than they sound.
